1. Can you help with packing and weighing if I don’t have boxes or a scale?
📦 Packing & Boxes:
All parcels must be self-packed and weighed before shipping. You can use your own boxes or purchase our UniEasy international shipping boxes. Once your luggage arrives at our warehouse, our UniEasy Air Freight team will verify the contents. If you are shipping a suitcase, we will provide a protective cover (additional charge). For standard cardboard boxes, you can request reinforcement services (extra fee applies).

2. Can I include brand-new items in my shipment?
🚫 No, our luggage shipping service is strictly for second-hand personal belongings. You must not include brand-new items or unopened items with original packaging. If customs inspects your parcel and finds new products, you may be subject to additional duties or, in extreme cases, risk having your package returned.
3. What is the difference between air freight and sea freight?
🚀 Shipping Method: Air freight is transported via airlines, while sea freight is shipped via ocean carriers.
💰 Cost: Air freight is faster but more expensive, whereas sea freight is cheaper but slower.
⏳ Transit Time: Air freight has a significantly quicker delivery time than sea freight.

4. What items are restricted when shipping luggage back to China?
When shipping luggage internationally, certain items are prohibited or discouraged. Here are some common concerns:
✅ Allowed Items: Used clothing, shoes, bags, cosmetics, books, health supplements, soft toys—all must be within the reasonable scope of personal use.
⚠ High-risk items: Luxury goods, brand-new items with tags, and high-value goods are more likely to be taxed.
🚫 Prohibited Items:
Electronics: Speakers, power banks, laptops, hair dryers
Dangerous Goods: Perfumes, pressurised spray cans, sharp objects
Food & Currency: Fresh food, jewellery, cash, knives
Important Documents: Original diplomas, transcripts, notarised documents
💡 For a complete list of restricted items, please refer to our shipping guidelines. Any returned or confiscated parcels due to prohibited items will be the sender’s responsibility.
5. Can I ship my luggage without a box?
Yes, but all suitcases must be placed inside a protective shipping box.
📏 Size Limits:
Total dimensions (L+W+H) must not exceed 150cm
No single side can be longer than 100cm
⚖ Weight Limits:
Maximum 30kg per parcel
It is recommended to keep your package under 28kg to avoid issues at final checks.
Oversized or overweight luggage will be returned, with a penalty fee of £50, plus additional handling charges.
💡 If using third-party logistics services (Royal Mail ParcelForce, UPS, APC) for pickup, additional handling fees may apply.
6. Why do second-hand items still incur customs duties?
Customs authorities evaluate both new and second-hand items based on import regulations. If customs deems your items taxable, the recipient will be required to pay customs duties before the parcel is cleared for delivery.
